Vegas

Things have been pretty rough lately. This week I got the flu, like the real influenza. The one that kills people. I never understood how people could die from the flu, before this week. Now I don't understand how I lived. It was the second sickest I have ever been. I lost about 5 pounds, wasn't worth it. Luckily, I got a smartphone a couple days before it happened, so I was able to use an entire week to see what I've been missing on instagram-turns out...not as much as I thought I was missing. Or maybe I was just too sick to appreciate it. I'll give it more attention once I am back to full health.

Before the flu had its way with me, Nate and I went down to Vegas for the a quick weekend of Rugby fun. We stayed in a classic Vegas hotel, watched way too much gambling and got lost in a casino. We met up with friends and family and ate at some great restaurants. Nate did his research before we left and found some delicious eats that really made the trip for me. Here's some pics

First time at Cheesecake Factory.

So glad that there was a little girl there to take this pic.

Austin wishes he didn't eat so much. Even though 2 seconds later he ate a spoonful of whip cream.

We didn't understand why there were footprints all over everything

But we joined in and kinda liked it.

Rugby. I am such a good fan now that I got too distracted to take any good pics.

Outside our hotel. My first time discovering the magic of Fremont Street.

It sure was a nice little trip. The drive home was quite deadly, but thanks to Nate's snow-driving skills and our insane truck buddy we made it home safe. I can't wait for this winter to be over, it has been really rough, I just want to start riding my bike to work again, that's all I want.
